Is the Zumo wallet covered by the FCA?

We have partnered with Modulr, an Electronic Money Institution authorised by the FCA. Through this relationship as an agent of Modulr, we are able to provide users with a digital wallet to store and transact in Pound Sterling (GBP). It is important to note that neither Zumo nor Modulr is a bank and your money will not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). As Modulr is an EMI, it has a strict obligation to safeguard your money, which it will do by holding it in a separate account intended for this purpose. It is also important to note that your GBP wallet will be separate to your crypto wallet. Cryptocurrencies are not regulated in the UK by the FCA and the cryptocurrency funds in your Zumo wallet are not e-money. This means that your Zumo wallet and any cryptocurrency funds within it are not regulated.
